Fallout Season 3: Our Best Guesses for the New Cast's Secret Roles

The Wasteland is about to get a little more crowded as Prime Video has just announced three new cast members who will join the war for survival and the future in Fallout Season 3.
Manny Jacinto (The Good Place, Star Wars: The Acolyte), Emily Mortimer (Jay Kelly, Paddington in Peru), and Thomasin McKenzie (Last Night in Soho) will pack their radaway and join already-announced newcomer Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) in the war for New Vegas.
While their roles in the series have not been revealed, we can make some educated guesses based on where season two left off.
Spoilers below for season 2
Is Manny Jacinto Arcade Gannon?
The show has made a point of introducing several of the game’s most popular characters, however there’s still one key New Vegas figure missing: Arcade Gannon.
With New Vegas looking like it will play a significant part in season 3, it makes sense that we’d finally meet a character that fans of the game love.
Gannon is sarcastic, intelligent and deeply compassionate, which seem like traits that would align well with Manny Jacinto’s acting skills. Finally, he’s connected to the Enclave, which could play a significant role in season 3 as another power to counter Caesar’s Legion and the New California Republic.
Will Aaron Paul lead the Enclave?
In season 2, House (Justin Theroux) repeatedly alludes to people even more powerful than him who are pulling the strings. Additionally, while we’ve seen elements of the Enclave in seasons one and two, they’ve yet to fully emerge as a major player in the show.
We think that changes with season 3, and we think that Aaron Paul makes the most sense as the leader of this faction. He’s shown an ability to play dark and wounded characters with intense charisma, and we could see him taking the reins and bringing the full power of the Enclave to bear on the events of season 3.
Could Emily Mortimer command the New California Republic?
One of the biggest cliffhangers from season 2 showed the NCR forces and Caesar’s Legions on the march to take control of New Vegas. While we know that Lacerta Legate (Macaulay Culkin) is commanding the legion, we’ve yet to be introduced to a leader of the NRC. If we are, we think Mortimer could fit the bill.
As an actress, she possesses the intelligence, gravitas and decency to lead a faction committed to civil rights and the rule of law, even as it engages in a violent, vicious struggle for control against the other major powers.
Will Thomasin McKenzie introduce us to The Followers
If we do finally meet Arcade Gannon in season three, then The Followers should also be major players in the coming battle for New Vegas.
The Followers are idealists and the closest thing Fallout has to a “good guy” faction. They operate a medical clinic for the poor, and we could see Thomasin possessing the kind of youthful idealism and decency necessary to try to establish humanity in a place as savage and brutal as the Wasteland.
Now, we’ll be the first to admit we could be wrong about all of this, but we still think it's fun to guess as we wait for official announcements.
Fall Out has emerged as one of Prime Video's biggest hits, with the first two seasons amassing over 100 million views and ranking among the top four most-watched seasons of all time on the streamer.
Season 3 begins shooting in Los Angeles later this month.
