The Reacher-verse is expanding like Jack’s biceps in a tight T-shirt.
While Reacher likes to solve problems by throwing heavy things through large people, the new spin-off series, Neagley, promises to focus on more cerebral methods of crime fighting.
The new series announced by Prime Video centers on private investigator Frances Neagley, played by Maria Sten, combining hard-hitting action with Neagley’s high-level investigative skills.
What is Neagley about?
The new series kicks off with Neagley investigating the suspicious death of a close friend in Chicago.
A former Army Master Sergeant, Neagley will rely on the analytical skills she developed in Reacher's elite 110th Special Investigations Unit to uncover a conspiracy behind her friend's suspicious death.
Who stars in Neagley?
Other than Neagley, the show will introduce an entirely new cast, including Greyston Holt as Detective Hudson Riley, Adeline Rudolph as Renee Birdwhistle, Jasper Jone as Keno, Matthew Del Negro as Pierce Woodrow and Damon Herriman as Lawrence Cole.
Alan Ritchson is also expected to make a guest appearance as Jack Reacher.
The show is created and produced by Nick Santora, who also created Reacher and Nicholas Wootton.
Who is Neagley?
Frances Neagley originated as a character in the original Reacher book series and is an original cast member of the Prime Video TV series. She’s a retired Army Master Sergeant currently based in Chicago, where she works as a private investigator and security specialist.
She’s worked closely with Jack throughout the Reacher series, providing him with the kind of background information and digital intelligence he can’t access while working in the field.
Unlike most of Reacher's allies, Neagley is his equal. She's one of the few people he trusts completely, and their friendship has become one of the defining relationships of the franchise, making her an obvious choice for a spinoff.
When is the release date for Neagley?
Prime Video will release all eight episodes of Neagley on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, immediately following the season 4 finale of Reacher, which will feature Neagley and set her up for the spinoff.
Reacher season 4 will premiere on Prime Video, with the first three episodes dropping on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, and new episodes released weekly.
